Our Vision

Our vision is to create a community where every individual has the opportunity to thrive—where students can pursue their educational dreams, families can find support in times of crisis, and the legacy of justice and equality is honored through education and advocacy. We are committed to fostering unity, empowering the next generation, and ensuring that the values of compassion, service, and equity guide us in making a lasting difference in Wakulla County.

Our Story

It’s incredible how one small idea can grow into something truly special. The Wakulla County Christian Coalition (WCCC) is founded on the belief that we all have a responsibility to make a meaningful difference in our community. Through a variety of active projects and a committed volunteer staff, we channel our skills and resources to achieve impactful results.

Established in 2003, WCCC is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of those in Wakulla County. We do this by: providing educational opportunities for graduates of Wakulla High School through two annual scholarships; assisting the elderly in obtaining essential medical care; and supporting families who experience catastrophic losses. Additionally, WCCC is committed to honoring the legacy of those who fought for equity and justice. Each February, on the third Saturday, we host the annual African American Heritage Celebration, an educational event that highlights the struggles and triumphs of our ancestors, including the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Our efforts extend further with the annual distribution of free school supplies to local students, helping them start the school year prepared for success. We also organize educational forums on topics of vital interest, such as voting, employment, and law enforcement, ensuring our community stays informed and empowered.

Since our founding, we have proudly witnessed the positive impact of our work across Wakulla County and beyond. Want to get involved? Support our mission by donating or volunteering today.
